SO YOU WANT TO BE AN AUTHOR BUT JUST DON'T KNOW HOW TO GO ABOOUT IT?

Join the club! Ten years ago when I first started to write my first novel I had no clue where to begin.

After many false starts, mishaps, and mistakes I did it. With seven novels to my credit I think I finally got the hang of it.

Let me show you how I did it!

Hi! My name is Pat Faber

And I’m an Author with Training Wheels. So what does it mean to be an Author with Training Wheels? It means that writing , like everything else in life, is a processof contnual learning.

I didn't start out as a writer. I had a 40+ year carreer in Nursing. The last ten years of that were as a Nurse Educator in a University setting.

When I retired I felt at loose ends without a job to go to each day. I needed something to do. So I decided to write a novel. But I didn’t have a clue!

I made mistakes. Plenty of them. But eventually I learned and in the last ten years I have written 6 novels: 3 of which I have published. In that time I've learned a lot from the trials and tribulations, missteps and pitfalls, highs and lows of writing that I've experienced.

I've decided that maybe what I've learned and continue to learn will help others on their way to becoming authors. This is School on Teachab is my next project. I thought 'Why not combine two of my skills and interrsts, writing and teaching? It is a way of sharing my journey to becoming a published author with all of you.
